      Who do you think will win the Delaware Majors Division Championship? Want to see what everyone out their thinks? We have the brackets up for District 3 & District 2. We will be receiving scores from District 1 as the games are played. So you can follow 302sports througout the whole state tournament.

       The Naamans' 10yo All-Stars opened the tournament with a 15-5 victory of Capitol in five innings at Heeney Field. Down 5-1, Naamans responded with a 3 in the third, 4 in the fourth, and 7 in the fifth.

       Naamans racked up 17 hits, including Kenyon Motley's first career HR high into the arborvitaes in left center, an inside-the-parker by Jacob LaPerle, and doubles by Connor Campbell, Harrison Fletcher, John Brooks, and Nick Gray.

       Harrison Fletcher and John Brooks racked up 9 strikeouts in the win.

       

      Little League News for 7-5-14 

      Naamans Blk (W) 10  vs Newark National Blue (L) 6

      Naamans Black All Star Team came from behind twice on its way to a 10-6 victory over the Newark National Blue Team at the Brandywine Invitational Tournament at Dyer Field. The highlight of the game came in the 4th inning with the Black Team down by a score of 5-4, bases loaded and a Grand Slam Home Run by Conor Hill allowed the team to take a lead they would not relinquish. Jeff DiSalvio picked up the victory.

      Canal Gold (L)0 vs Naaman Blk (W) 10 

      Led by Chase Golden’s 5 RBIs and Nate Donahue’s perfect 4 for 4 at the plate Naamans Black pounded their way to a 10-0 victory over Canal Gold tonight at Dyer Field.
       
      District III 9-10 Year old Girls Softball Tournament 

      Georgetown 10, Laurel 5

      Highlights: Skylar Webb had two RBIs while Rebecca Smith had a two-run double and Jasmine Hundley had an RBI for Georgetown. Paige Tidwell pitched a two-hitter to get the win.

      In addition to the offensive outburst, Pitchers James Wade and Adam Tommer combined on a 2 hitter with Wade pitching the first 2 innings striking out 3 and Tommer going the rest of the way with 5 strikeouts.

      Highlights: Dean Herrick pitched a complete game, striking out 12 and allowing 3 hits.

      Monday: Piedmont Tigers 5, Piedmont Blue 2

      At Valley Road, Hockessin

      Highlights: Ryan Wood went the first five innings for the Tigers, allowing just one hit. Scott Davis closed the game out for the Tigers, allowing two hits over the last two innings. Spencer Hall went 2 for 3 for the Tigers while shortstop Jeff Davis accounted for eight of the 21 outs.

      Highlights: Jazmin Haman’s two-out hit broke an 8-8 tie in the bottom of the fourth. Harman had three RBIs on the night. Nadia Bedford and Kacie Noonan combined on the mound for Canal. Bedford had two hits and four RBIs while Alyssa Noonan had two hits and three runs scored for Canal, which will play in the State Tournament starting Thursday night at New Castle Little League.

      In a game between the last two undefeated teams in the A Bracket, Naamans Black overpowered Canal Blue 17-11 in a slugfest this morning at Dyer Field.  After jumping out to a 9-1 lead in the top of the third, Canal Blue showed why they too were undefeated clawing their way back to not only tie the game in the bottom of the third but to take the lead 11-9.  In the 5th Naamans Black pulled within one at 11-10 when Adam Tommer singled home James Wade who had walked and made it to third on some heads up base running. In the top of the sixth Sean Brady led off the 7 run explosion and with the bases loaded, Nate Donahue singled in two runs.  Tommer’s Sacrifice Fly to Center brought in another and consecutive RBIs by Conner Rock and Conor Hill capped off the rally.  Pitchers Nate Donahue, Jeff DiSalvio and Adam Tommer combined for 10 Strike Outs.

      What's happening in Detroit can happen in other industries. It can happen in Cleveland and Pittsburgh and Raleigh. We can't bring back every Nike Free Run 2 job that's left our shores. Speaking to IFTN, producer Kearney said that the shoot was "shaping up nicely" and praised the local community Nike Free Run 5.0 in Co Galway. He added: "Even though there isn't much Cheap Nike Free Run Shoes of a budget, Womens Nike Free Run we're making every penny count and the locals here in Headford have really got behind the production. We're using a local shop and a big old country house and some of the locations we're shooting in are just so scenic.
