Delaware Tech Weekly Athletics Results 4/26/19

Softball

Delaware Tech softball lost both games of a doubleheader to Lackawanna College on April 23 (6-3, 6-1) to fall to 12-7 on the season.


In the first game, sophomore Megan Fry (Milford) was 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, and freshman Sydney Tyndall batted 2-for-3. In the second game, sophomore Madison McGee (Delmar) went 2-for-4.


Delaware Tech awaits the results of other National Junior College Athletic Association Region XIX games before finding out about placement in the Region XIX Tournament, which is scheduled for May 4-5 at the County College of Morris in Randolph, N.J.


Baseball

Delaware Tech baseball lost to CCBC-Essex 7-5 on April 24, and is now 19-11-1 on the season. Freshmen Will Findley (Caravel), Matt Marandola (DMA), and Micah Bregard all had two hits, while Bregard had two RBI. Sophomore Luke Wilhelm (AI Dupont) knocked a double, and sophomore Tyler Cunningham also had an RBI.


Delaware Tech is scheduled or back-to-back home doubleheaders on Saturday, April 27 against Mercer County Community College (starting at 10 a.m.) and Lehigh Carbon Community College (starting at noon).  All home games are played at Delaware Tech’s Owens Campus in Georgetown.
