Girls Cross Country, Padua and Ursuline Take Home State Champio

The Girls Cross Country state championships took place on Saturday November 9th at Killens Pond State park.  The Division 1 race saw Judith McLaughlin of Padua win the race in 19:04.   Maya Bordrick of Wilmington Charter was second followed by  Keely Arndt of Caesar Rodney,  Alyssa Brinsky of Appoquinimink, and  Sarah Larose of Smyrna.  The Padua Pandas took home another team state championship bt scoring 55 points.  Caesar Rodney finished second with 102 points, while Smyrna finished third with 104 points.

The Division 2 race saw  Lydia Colasante of Tatnall win with a time of 18:48.  A pair of St Mark's Spartans finished in second and third, as Tiffany Herrera and Natalie Donaldson.   Maisie Donohue of Brandywine finished in fourth place followed by the first Ursuline finisher Anna Pryor in fifth place.  The Ursuline Raiders edged out the St Mark's Spartans by 2 points as the Raiders finshed with 50 points.  Newark Charter finished in third place with 110 points.
