Da'Kquan Davis and Steve Pendleton combined for 43 points Saturday afternoon to lead the Arcadia University men's basketball team to its second-straight victory, a 71-57 triumph over visiting Messiah, as the Knights shot 52 percent (13-25) from the field in the second half to pull away late in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth matchup. Davis fell one rebound shy of his fourth double-double of the season - while logging his fifth-consecutive game with 24 or more points - and Pendleton turned in his tenth game scoring in double figures.

Justin Money (St Elizabeth) also finished the afternoon in double-figure scoring with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting, while Davis and Will Derr tied for the game-high in rebounds with nine each.

-The Knights staked themselves to a ten-point lead in the game's first ten minutes behind threes from Davis, Pendleton and Jacob Walsh (Sanford), but a 9-0 Messiah run cut the hosts lead to one at the 5:32 mark of the opening half. Arcadia went on to finish the half on an 11-4 run to take an eight-point lead into the break, 30-22.

-Following a Money three just over four minutes into the second half to put the Knights up ten, Messiah stormed right back with a 20-5 run to tie the game and then take its first lead of the afternoon with 10:13 remaining in regulation. Arcadia wasted no time regaining its advantage, ripping off a 17-2 run that spanned nearly five minutes as Money capped off the stretch with yet another three, putting the Knights up ten with under four minutes left.

-Arcadia put the game away in the moments that followed, as Davis buried a three from the center logo before Walsh provided the exclamation point with a two-handed slam on the following possession, leading the Knights to the 14-point victory.
