When Governor Carney made the announcement that the rest of the school year would be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic it officially ended the 2020 spring sports season. With that announcement all senior student athletes would loose their senior seasons. The spring sports include baseball, softball, boys and girls lacrosse, tennis, track and field, golf, and girls soccer.

On Friday April 24th at 8pm the state paid tribute to the students athletes of the class of 2020 who lost their senior season.  The schools wanted to do something to honor those student athletes who lost their senior season. It was decided that they would turn on the lights at each stadium throughout the state for 20 minutes and 20 seconds.  Some of the schools even made announcements honoring those students by name & their perspective sport in which they played.

We could not post pictures from every school or their videos which were posted. We encourage everyone to go checkout their schools social media pages in order to see the tribute.

Thank you for everyone's submission to us they were greatly appreciated.
