ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's lacrosse team kept its winning ways going on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day, picking up a pivotal 15-6 victory over Rosemont College in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Colin Blake led the Neumann attack with six points (4 g, 2 a), while Chris Augustine added five points (2 g, 3 a). Eric Conlon (3 g) and John McKendry (2 g) each recorded multi-goal games, while Jack Newswanger (St Elizabeths) added a goal and an assist to go along with his team-high 8 ground-balls and 14 faceoff wins. Antonio Gibson (Caesar Rodney) and Brendan Risley split time in goal, combining for nine saves in the victory.

Coming off of two consecutive wins, the Knights were eager to make it three straight on Senior Day. Neumann reeled off four unanswered goals to open the game, capped off by a goal from senior defender Joe Montgomery to make it 4-0 just 2:45 into the game. Rosemont got a goal back midway through the frame, but an Adam Fagan goal at 5:38 gave the Knights a 5-1 lead heading to the second quarter.

An Augustine tally early in the second stanza made it 6-1 Knights, but the Ravens used Neumann penalties to their advantage midway through the quarter to get back into the game. Rosemont scored two man-up markers, then followed them up with an even-strength goal late in the half to send the game to halftime with the score at 6-4.

Neumann would get back on track early in the third quarter though. After splitting a pair of goals early in the period, the Knights scored four of the game's next five goals to take a commanding 11-6 lead into the final frame. The quarter was punctuated by an Augustine goal with under a second left on the clock off an excellent feed from Blake.

As the game moved to the fourth quarter, Neumann continued to roll. The Knights shut the Ravens out in the period and tacked on four more tallies to take home the huge 15-6 win. Shots for the game finished 42-22 in favor of the Knights.

Neumann (4-10, 3-3 CSAC) now controls its own destiny for a CSAC playoff spot. The Knights will clinch a playoff berth with a win in the team's final conference game of the season at Centenary University next Wednesday, April 25th at 4:00 PM.
