Conrad stays unbeaten with sweep of Sanford

The Red Wolves remain unbeaten headed into Tuesday's showdown vs. Archmere.

HOCKESSIN – A pair of sophomores, Leah Camilli and Stefanie Kulesza, paced Conrad as the Red Wolves swept Sanford in nonconference volleyball Sept. 14. Set scores were 25-10, 25-14 and 25-12.

Camilli had 12 kills, while Kulesza added 11. Camilli added three service aces, while Kulesza chipped in with seven digs and eight assists. The defensive leader was libero Alyssa Faville, who led the team with 16 digs. Conrad took advantage of their service game, dishing out a total of 12 aces against the Warriors.

Ellie Stull, a freshman, paced Sanford with four kills. The Warriors (0-2) return to action on Tuesday, traveling to Kent County to meet Caesar Rodney at 5:15 p.m. Nine of the Warriors' first 10 opponents this season are teams that made the state tournament last year.

The Red Wolves, ranked seventh in the latest 302Sports.com volleyball poll, improved to 3-0. They host No. 5 Archmere on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
