We are heading into week 4 and not much has changed in our Top 10 Rankings. Our match of the Week is No. 3 Saint Mark’s visiting No. 4 Newark Charter a top 5 matchup. Here is the link for the LIVE Stream
Top 10
No. 1 Tower Hill (8-1). Cadence Davis has upped her game to help the Hillers keep rolling without injured Sydney Fischer and Wren Steiner. Tower leaves Carpenter Fieldhouse for cozy Weaver Gymnasium on Friday for a home match against Wilmington Charter, but they have business before that. Next: at St. Andrew’s, Thursday, Oct. 9
No.2 Archmere (10-2). The Auks continue to put together impressive performances. They nearly upset top-ranked Tower Hill on 302 Sports last week and have won three straight since then, including road wins at Saint Mark’s and Appoquinimink. Next: vs. Caravel, Friday, Oct. 10
No. 3 Saint Mark’s (8-2). A relatively young Saint Mark’s team has held its own against a schedule that barely has a night off. It doesn’t get any easier for the Spartans, who travel to Newark Charter for our 302 Sports match of the week. Next: at Newark Charter, Thursday, Oct. 9, on 302 Sports
No. 4 Newark Charter (8-1). The Patriots bring a fierce attack featuring Zhara Pritchett, Kennedy Pavlekovich and Anaiah King, forcing opponents to play their best defense. Their house will be rocking when Saint Mark visits for the 302 Sports match of the week. Next: vs. Saint Mark’s, Thursday, Oct. 9, on 302 Sports
No. 5 Caesar Rodney (10-0). The Riders are the last undefeated team standing in Delaware. They’ve swept just three opponents this season and have gone the maximum five sets three times, but they get the job done. They will face a tough Dover team next time out, and a sweep either way is unlikely. Next: at Dover, Thursday, Oct. 9
No. 6 Appoquinimink (7-2). Consecutive losses to Saint Mark’s and Archmere should not discourage the Jaguars, who are a very good team with one of the state’s most dynamic players in Jaslyn Dawkins. Appo and Middletown are the leading contenders for the Blue Hen Flight A title. Next: at Odessa, Friday, Oct. 10
No. 7 Padua (6-5). Yes, the Pandas deserve to be ranked. They had won four straight — including against Caravel and Newark Charter — before losing to New Jersey power Paul VI. All four of their remaining regular-season matches will be tests. Next: vs. Garnet Valley (Pa.), Tuesday, Oct. 14
No. 8 Lake Forest (8-2). We see you, Lake Forest. These Spartans have lost to two Henlopen North teams, but are one of just two to hang a loss on Dover this season. Pacey Hull, Coryn Louder and Bayli Glanden have meant triple trouble for opponents. Next: at Delmar, Thursday, Oct. 9
No. 9 Caravel (7-2). The Buccaneers opened the season with seven straight at home, and now it’s time to pay that bill. Caravel has five road games left, and they’re all going to be challenging. Next: at Archmere, Friday, Oct. 10
No. 10 Dover (8-2). The Henlopen North title is still in reach for the Senators, who continue to impress year after year. They’ll face Caesar Rodney at home with the hopes of making the Riders the last team in the state to experience defeat in 2025. Next: vs. Caesar Rodney, Thursday, Oct. 9
