Salesianum lost the No. 1 ranking after suffering a tough 8-2 loss to Appoquinimink last week. The Sa’s rebounded with a commanding 11-2 win over No. 6 ranked St. Georges. Jack Bujnowski led the way in the victory both on the mound and at the plate.
Bujnowski earned the win for Salesianum pitching five innings while surrendering four hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out seven batters and walking three. Jimmy Gray, and Brooks O’Hanlon each singled, knocking in a run and scoring one, but the big hit in the inning came from Bujnowski. Jack Bujnowski hit a deep shot to center field that somehow stayed in the field as he doubled, scoring three runs for the Sals.
