The DIAA has issued a press release that they are extending the High School basketball season due to the recent inclement weather we have experienced. See Press release below.
DOVER, DE – February 12, 2025 – Due to recent weather-related cancellations, the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) has extended the basketball season by one additional day to accommodate rescheduled games. The final day of competition will now be Thursday, February 20, 2025.
As a result, the Basketball Seeding Committee Meetings have been adjusted as follows:
- Girls Basketball Committee Meeting – Friday, February 21 at 8:30 AM
- Boys Basketball Committee Meeting – Friday, February 21 at 11:00 AM
- Unified Committee Meeting – Friday, February 21 at 9:00 AM
All other DIAA Basketball Tournament dates remain unchanged:
- Girls 1st Round Games – Monday, February 24
- Unified Quarterfinal Games – Monday, February 24
- Boys 1st Round Games – Tuesday, February 25
- Girls 2nd Round Games – Wednesday, February 26
- Boys 2nd Round Games – Thursday, February 27
- Boys & Girls Quarterfinals – Saturday, March 1 – Sunday, March 2
- Unified Semifinals – Monday, March 3
- Girls Semifinals – Wednesday, March 5
- Boys Semifinals – Friday, March 7
- Unified/Girls/Boys Finals – Sunday, March 9
