Eastern University Senior Brian Lang now sits in second place in Eastern baseball history with 13 career home runs after hitting a pair of them against Haverford. Lang played his high school baseball at Salesianum Sals before committing to Eastern University where he has been a four year member of the baseball team. Brian is having his best year of his career as he chases the school’s homerun record.
Lang is hitting .349 with 5 home runs and 8 runs batted in while he has scored 17 times this season. His two home runs versus Haverford was the first multiple home run game of his career. All of his career highs have come this season with hits (3), runs scored (3), and runs batted in (4) all came in the game against Haverford as well
The all-time career home run record is held by Matt McHale who hit 15 career home runs. The single season home record is held by Chris Millitello who hit 8 home runs in one season. Lang sits at 13 career home runs, and has 5 this season with 25 more games to play this season. At his pace this season he has a chance to become the career leader in both categories.
We will be following the rest of the season Brian chases these records. If we dont we all know his uncle Mike will be keeping us up to date as well lol. Mike and I have been to a couple games recently and plan to catch a few more since it’s his senior season. Good luck to Brian and the Eastern University baseball team throughout the rest of the season.
